We aim to provide the students with a relevant curriculum that is interesting, meaningful to their lives and most importantly fun!
The students learn best from the multi-sensory approaches we use and we aim for every student to achieve their individual best.
Our activities focus on looking, listening, touching, smelling and tasting!
Communication is another vital life-long skill learned whilst in the Sensory Education class. We are proud of all our students who learn to communicate so successfully through body language, gestures, facial expressions, vocalisations and using switches and movement and sound beams.
The Sensory Education class has got off to a good start in the Autumn Term 2017.
We have welcomed Ava to our class from C1 and she has already made good friends with the other students.
We have taken part in lots of fun activities including playing under a parachute, printing with vegetables from the allotment and looking at the fibre optic lights.
We have a new lunch time club which focuses on hairdressing and pampering which is enjoyed by the boys as well as the girls!
