Harp Class
Welcome to Harp Class
In Harp Class, we follow a semi-formal curriculum, with learning planned through a thematic approach that connects activities to relevant topics where appropriate. Lessons are designed to be meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable, encouraging creativity and innovation. We are a fun class who love to learn together, and we always look for ways to make our activities exciting and memorable.
Each day begins with a physical activity to energise us and prepare for learning. Our timetable includes daily Phonics, Literacy, and Maths sessions, alongside weekly PE, Cooking, Art, Music, and Topic lessons. Independence is a key focus in Harp Class, and we support pupils to become as independent as possible, both in school and in the wider community. Students take part in end-of-day jobs, and we go on a weekly visit to the local supermarket to shop for snacks and ingredients for our cooking lessons.
Teamwork is also highly valued in Harp Class. We focus on building friendships, communication, and confidence, helping every child to express themselves and thrive. Most importantly, we enjoy learning together, celebrating achievements, supporting one another, and making school a happy, positive place for everyone.
